The First Game Pass Games of 2026 Reveal Xbox Remains Committed.

In numerous discussions, fans keep sounding the death bells for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Platform-specific outlets began covering about PlayStation for the first time. The past year represented a period of total upheaval for the tech giant's gaming arm. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company still intends to draw people in with quality releases on its key platform.

The Available Now Titles

The duo of games you can play right now at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Upcoming Headline Games

On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "an ideal blend of terror and combat."

Intriguing Niche Additions

However, the more modest titles set to join the catalog are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, arrives January 7th — and it merits a playthrough even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, is another one to watch. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Solid, Curated Lineup

In summary, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription by themselves. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they warranted upon launch — rendering them perfect candidates to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Be prepared to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
