History of Incidents
Since the start of the extensive conflict in Ukraine, a series of Russian military personnel have been targeted within Moscow.
This most recent event follows other serious incidents, including:
- General Yaroslav Moskalik was lost his life in a automobile blast in Moscow earlier this year.
- General Igor Kirillov perished in late 2024 when a device concealed on a scooter was triggered from afar.
While a informant in the past connected Kirillov's death to Ukraine's security service, such allegations are not publicly admitted as a matter of policy.
The war has witnessed shadowy operations moving into the center of the Russian capital.
The probe into General Sarvarov's death remains underway.
